A 41-year-old man burns his arms trying to put out the fire in his caravan in Tenerife



A 41-year-old man has presented moderate burns on his arms after his caravan caught fire when it was parked on El Cabezo beach, in El Médano (Granadilla de Abona).

The events took place around 10:11 a.m. on Tuesday, January 18, at which time the Coordinated Center for Emergencies and Security of the Government of the Canary Islands received an alert call informing about the fire. The necessary emergency resources were immediately activated, including the Tenerife Fire Department, the Canary Emergency Service (SUC), the Local Police and the Civil Guard.

As explained by 1-1-2, the owner of the caravan had extinguished the fire when the firefighters arrived, who checked the situation and the condition of the vehicle, while the SUC staff assisted the affected person and transferred him to a health center. The police services took charge of the corresponding proceedings.
