‘Return to Carnival’, the fun miniseries that travels to the sad Santa Cruz de Tenerife in 2084 without parties in February

With the objective set on recovering the spirit of Carnival, this Monday, January 17, its first miniseries of the most international chicharrera festival opens, which, under the title Return to Carnival (more or less), can be followed through their social networks throughout the next month.

The production, promoted by the Dorada beer company, consists of four audiovisual pieces starring a wide range of Canarian artists, such as Víctor Hubara, Sergio Gerson, Adrián Rosales and Aaron Gómez. They will be joined by influencers Alex Mercurio and Cathaysa González; the queen of Carnival 2020, Sara Cruz, as well as the CD Tenerife footballer Suso Santana.

Taking the year 2084 as its starting point, the miniseries will take us to a city of Santa Cruz de Tenerife immersed in the apathy and sadness of its inhabitants after the Carnival has stopped being celebrated. In this case, a delegation of Carnival experts, arrived from the past through a time capsule, will be in charge of making known the meaning of these festivities and will be able to turn the situation around for the future.

The projection of the miniseries will be accompanied by different challenges for the population, so that they convey the reasons why they consider that carnivals should be eternal, in addition to making clear their support for the most international chicharrera festival through the video recording of their artistic skills to the rhythm of the carnival version of at our pace.

The campaign will also include the staging of a comedy show, which will take place on February 16 at the Víctor Cinema in the capital of Tenerife. Under the direction of Enrique Camacho and starring the actors participating in the miniseries, the event also aims to support cultural activity, always complying with the established sanitary measures.
