The storm shows the poor state of the Tres de Mayo police station, where 1,200 people work. GIVES

The meteorological ‘pottage’ that has affected the Canary Islands since the weekend has highlighted the poor state of buildings such as the one in the Local Police on Tres de Mayo Avenue, where a third of the municipal workforce works.

There, the workers have had to deal with the leaks that have flooded the floor of the building, even in the locker room area, as can be seen in the image.

It should be remembered that a total of 1,200 people carry out their professional activity in these offices, of which 300 are local police officers.

Employees who are part of the Independent Trade Union and Officials Center (CSIF), the most representative union in public administrations, have lamented that “we are the only municipal service that is in a building in this state; the rest of the services are in buildings in good condition”.
