The Tacoronte City Council announces an investment of 500,000 euros for the execution of a plan to improve and replace all the children’s leisure spaces in the municipality. With these funds, new parks will also be enabled and the replacement of deteriorated elements will be financed. This project of the Works and Parks and Gardens areas has begun with the reconstruction of the children’s playground in the Plaza de Los Naranjeros, where the renovation of the pavement, street furniture and game elements is planned, in addition to the incorporation of shaded areas with vegetation.
The mayor of Tacoronte, José Daniel Díaz (Nueva Canarias); the Councilor for Parks and Gardens, Carmela Díaz Vilela (Yes, you can), and the Councilor for Works and Services, Antonio Gil Goya (NC), recently visited this first performance, budgeted at around 40,000 euros. With this investment, all its elements will be homologated and “rubber technical flooring” will be installed.
José Daniel Díaz explained that the Los Naranjeros park model is the one that “will be followed in the rest of the municipality, where there will be parks with a larger area and more play elements, and with all the security measures.” According to Antonio Gil Goya, “this plan aims to correct all the deficiencies of the playgrounds that have been created throughout the municipality over the last few years and that still lack conditions.”
The Councilor for Parks and Gardens added that “in those spaces where there were few elements, now others will be incorporated that will be conditioned from the replacements, with which a better provision and larger and better play spaces are achieved.” In addition, remember that the Town Hall of Tacoronte “has a study that reflects the state of all playgrounds, and which also contemplates how to create new shaded areas.” The planned actions contemplate the use, or recycling, of those elements that are still approved and in good condition.
