Tenerife B sets its sights on direct ascent

Tenerife B joins the dream of direct promotion by winning Alfonso Silva (1-0). After a first half in which the teams led by Ángel Luis Camacho and Leandro Cabrera ‘Mazinho’ did not give their rival options, the Blue and Whites turned the game in their favour, at the start of the second half, thanks to a solitary header of Aythami.

Alternate dominance during some very dynamic early stages in which both teams tried to impose their dominance, making good ball combinations, although without clarity to overcome their rival’s solvent defensive gear. Both Unión Viera and Tenerife B were very respectful in the initial stretch of the contest, which meant that clear scoring opportunities were conspicuous by their absence.

With the passing of the first half, the ‘Mazinho’ team began to feel more comfortable on the La Ballena site, and took advantage of the red and black’s inaccuracies to launch quick counterattacks, although without success to put local goalkeeper Carlos at excessive risk. Daniel. For their part, those from Ciudad Alta lacked depth to approach the domains of blue and white Víctor.

The prevailing wind and haze over the Alfonso Silva conditioned the game. In the final stretch of the first act, Unión Viera was uncovered with good penetrations by band and crosses to the area, well counteracted by the blue and white defense. Before the break, Tenerife B enjoyed the clearest chance of the first half with a header from Omar at the far post, after a free kick by Juvenil Dylan, who went very close to the post.

The match went into the break goalless, and after passing through the changing rooms, Tenerife B jumped onto the La Ballena pitch with the purpose of taking command of the scoreboard. As a result of this, in the 60th minute, after executing a quick throw-in, Aythami was in charge of heading the edge of the small area to get what was ultimately the winning goal for the Blue and Whites.

With the goal against, Unión Viera tried to recover, making Ángel Luis Camacho up to a triple substitution to give the red and black team a new air. As a result, the Gran Canarians began to dangerously approach Víctor’s domains, especially with an action in which Joel, from the right flank, after Borja Sebe’s service, served a dangerous cross to the heart of the visiting area, without finding auctioneer.

Ángel Luis Camacho’s team insisted in search of the equalizer, but the red and blacks were not enough to force a tie. In the 89th minute, the local goalkeeper Caros Daniel had to work hard to disrupt, with his fists, a difficult free kick executed by Pablo.
