Works on the TF-5 EUROPA PRESS

The Roads Area of the Cabildo de Tenerife will continue from this Sunday and during the next week with the work to improve the TF-5, specifically the work sections are focused on the areas of Guajara and Los Rodeos, in the municipality of La Laguna.

In a statement, the island councilor for Roads, Enrique Arriaga, recalled that this is one of the sections with the highest density of traffic in the TF-5 for which he appreciates the prudence and caution of the drivers and pointed out that the works “advance an average of one kilometer each week, improving the safety of this important road in Tenerife every day.”

In addition, he explained that “the results are already palpable and, despite still missing the final layer, the improvement in driving comfort has increased with the work carried out so far”.

For its part, to reduce inconvenience and complications in traffic, the work will always be carried out at night, between 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m., taking place this week between kilometer points 8.9 and 12.3.

The rehabilitation and resurfacing will begin this Sunday in the area closest to the Padre Anchieta junction, in the direction of Santa Cruz. In order to execute it, traffic will be diverted to the opposite road.

Already on Monday night, the rehabilitation of the pavement on the TF-5 will be carried out, in the direction of Santa Cruz, from Los Rodeos to Guajara, starting up a by-pass diverting traffic to the opposite road.

Meanwhile, on Tuesday, January 18, Wednesday 19, and Thursday 20, work resumed at the same point, also carrying out the corresponding detours.Print
