The Spanish Association of Tourism Journalists and Writers, attached to the World Federation, Fijet World, chose as best hotel in Spain at the Royal River Luxury Hotel & Spa, located in the most exclusive destination of Tenerife, in front of the Costa Adeje Golf course. It has a spectacular collection of 50 villas: The Lagoon Villas, of African inspiration; the River Villas, connected by a river among lush vegetation, and the Pool Villas, with a private pool, a unique concept in Spain.
The Association awarded the Fijet Spain 2022 Awards that recognize and honor entities, organizations, projects and destinations in the field of tourism, in addition to valuing excellence in management, promotion and destinations. In the edition, there were 107 nominees for Best Destination Country, Best Spanish City, Best Transport Company operating in Spain, Best Hotel and Best Wine Route.
The Fijet 2022 Awards ceremony will take place within the framework of the International Tourism Fair (Fitur), which will take place next week – from 19 to 23 – and which will bring together the main agents, institutions and companies of the sector with the aim of starting up one of the most important economic engines in the country. Fijet Spain is a professional entity in which all sectors of journalistic and communication activity are represented, the main purpose of which is the promotion of tourism. Its president, Miguel Ángel González, emphasizes that “this award must serve as an example to go towards total tourist excellence”, at a time that requires optimism and unity to make recovery possible.
The president of the Golf Resort Group, José Fernando Cabrera, does not hesitate to point out that “this award is a great satisfaction for our managers and employees and for Tenerife. The Royal River is a hotel that represents the characteristics of a wonderful holiday island such as Tenerife: independent villas, a high level of decoration, large green spaces, water, vegetation and a high level of gastronomy ».
