This year, the Cabildo de Tenerife will contribute 600,000 euros to the Los Silos City Council for the acquisition of the land necessary for the future health center of the municipality, “a key infrastructure that will meet a historical demand and will facilitate primary care to the residents of this town from the north of the island ”, according to the president of the Tenerife Council, Pedro Martín (PSOE).
“This contribution shows the interest of the Cabildo de Tenerife in collaborating with all municipalities, regardless of the political color of those who govern, thinking only of the interest of the island’s citizens,” stressed the island president, who recalled that “since 2019, The Cabildo has invested in Los Silos more than 1.8 million euros in works that are considered a priority for the municipality. In the Municipal Cooperation Plan 2022-2025, it will obtain a total of 1,915,820 euros, which will mean an increase of 399,980 euros over the previous plan ”.
The island president has recently visited the municipality to see first-hand the progress of some of the works in which the island institution has participated, such as the remodeling of the Plaza de La Luz, in which more than 60,000 euros have been invested, or the demolition and execution of the retaining wall of the Las Salinas sports center, in the La Caleta de Interián neighborhood, worth 131,206 euros. Pedro Martín reviewed the state of some infrastructures such as the municipal auditorium, the Juan Valiente stadium or the results of the comprehensive rehabilitation of the Mayor’s Office in the Consistory.
The Silense mayor, Macarena Fuentes (CC), recalled that the City Council had requested the presence of the president of Tenerife to be able to show him some important issues on the ground, such as water purification, the municipal swimming pool and the works of the cooperation plan. On this visit, we have also taken the opportunity to share some other concerns with Pedro Martín, such as the Aguadulce beach project ”.
