Tenerife receives this Friday the Mexican Navy Training Ship, the ‘Ambassador and Knight of the Seas’


The Cuauhtémoc Sailing School Ship of the Mexican Secretariat of the Navy (SEMAR) will arrive at the Port of Santa Cruz de Tenerife next Friday, the 14th, where it will remain docked at the Ribera dock of the Dársena Los Llanos until January 20.

Upon arrival, minutes before 10:00 am, the sailboat will wave the flag of Mexico, which has “a monumental size”, before the gaze of cadets and officers from the top of their perches while performing the docking maneuvers, for the first time with live mariachi music on board, as announced by the Mexican Consulate.

Representatives from the Embassy of Mexico in Spain, the Honorary Consulate in Tenerife, as well as the Mexican community residing in the islands will come to shelter Cuauhtémoc upon arrival.

Also known as Ambassador and Knight of the Seas In his almost 40 years of service, in addition to training the cadets of the Heroic Naval Military School, he has traveled the world carrying a message of peace and goodwill from the Mexican Navy and the Mexican people.

It can be visited in a controlled manner by virtue of the established health protocols, on Friday, January 14, from 12 a.m. to 6 p.m., and from January 15 to 19, from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
