The City Council of La Orotava, through the Youth Council directed by Darío Afonso (CC), opens the registration for the XXVII edition of the Digital Photography Workshop, an initiative consolidated over time and that, in each call, has a high demand, which has enabled the training of more than a thousand people in previous years.
This digital photography workshop is no longer aimed only at the young people of the Villa, as in some previous editions, but is offered to fans of photography in general, of any age, whether or not they are residents of La Orotava. Those interested have until January 25 to register.
The workshop will be held from February to June at Casa Rómulo Bethencourt. These are theoretical-practical courses, of two levels: one for initiation and another for advanced for those who want to continue improving their knowledge. Participants will be divided into four groups, two for each level, with different days and times, always in the afternoon.
The workshop focuses on digital photography, editing and treatment of images, so you will work with suitable programs for this, such as Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Lightroom. At the end of the course, students will receive a certificate with the hours worked, and there will also be an exhibition with their work. The councilor of the area values the success of each edition and the participation “of many professionals and great amateurs.” In addition, he announces that the area is working to carry out, this year, “another important project that revolves around the world of photography and that will be announced shortly.”
