The fathers and mothers associations (Ampas) of the educational centers of Candelaria receive financial support from the Department of Education. The Villa Mariana City Council has already entered the subsidies that, in total, add up to an amount of 5,000 euros. The mayor, María Concepción Brito, explains that this figure of representation is very important for the vital development of the educational community. “With this impulse, we intend that the families that are part of it can promote activities and encounters beyond the classroom. We invite the families of Candelaria to join, “says the councilor.
Maeva Tendero, Councilor for Education, explains that to the Center for Early Childhood and Primary Education (CEIP) Long Point It has been awarded a grant of 2,000 euros, taking into account that it is the largest educational community. In the case of the Carmen Álvarez de la Rosa public schools (Barranco Hondo, Igueste and Araya, the financial support is 1,000 euros.
“We remember that these aids can be requested by both the associations of mothers and fathers in schools and in institutes,” says the mayor. Shopkeeper argues that «we want to be a fundamental support, beyond the daily and direct contact that we maintain with the management of the centers, which we congratulate. We want to create community and enhance education in values.
