Melchor, Gaspar and Baltasar visited every corner of La Laguna yesterday to bring hope and gifts to each boy and girl in the municipality. A magical day that began in the morning with the delivery, by the mayor, Luis Yeray Gutiérrez, of the magic key of the city to Their Majesties of the East, with which they could enter all the homes to leave the packages.

The Three Wise Men arrived in La Laguna with a message “of hope and encouragement, because, although this situation (the health crisis) will not last a lifetime, as long as it lasts we have to be careful and take care of each other “Declared King Melchior.

After the delivery of the key to the city, which took place in the royal camp located in the park of La Constitución and where the pages of the Magi have been working intensely for more than a week, Melchor, Gaspar and Baltasar maintained a meeting with the mayor to make sure that everything was going according to plan so that, starting at 4:00 p.m., the different routes through the municipality could be done.

Given the difficulties arising from the pandemic, the mayor recalled that the City Council and the royal courts reached an agreement to “suspend, for another year, the traditional parade through the town and celebrate these decentralized visits from Taco to Punta del Hidalgo, to That Their Majesties could greet the little ones with the maximum guarantees of safety, in order to avoid crowds and unnecessary trips to the center ”.

Thus, the royal groups formed by Melchor, Gaspar and Baltasar, accompanied by their pages and children’s characters, made six routes yesterday afternoon to reach all corners of the municipality, passing through Taco (through 66 points in this area), Guamasa (58), La Cuesta (83), the Casco and surroundings (with 83), the Northeast Region (58) and the area of Las Mercedes (34), and also visiting the University Hospital of the Canary Islands.
