The Canary Islands add more than 5,000 infections and six deaths in the last 24 hours

In the last hours the death of six people, five in Tenerife and one in Gran Canaria, pending validation by the General Directorate of Public Health.

The Accumulated Incidence at 7 days in the Canary Islands stands at 1,174.89 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 14 days at 1,243.92 cases per 100,000 inhabitants. To date, a total of 2,833,534 diagnostic tests have been carried out in the Islands, of which 16,669 correspond to yesterday.

By islands, Tenerife adds 2,334 cases with a total of 87,104 accumulated cases and 30,631 epidemiologically active cases; Gran Canaria has 62,330 accumulated cases, 1,782 more than the previous day, and 19,406 assets. Lanzarote adds 392 new cases with 12,2889 accumulated and 3,541 epidemiologically active; Fuerteventura has 8,120 accumulated cases, with 246 new cases and 2,888 active.

La Palma adds 251 new positives, so it has 3,526 accumulated and 1,726 assets. La Gomera adds 35 new cases, has 973 and its assets are 207. El Hierro adds 47 new positives, so its accumulated are 762 and has 186 active cases. In the computation by islands, there is a pending case to be validated.

The Ministry of Health recalls that These data published today on the Grafcan portal are provisional and are pending validation by the teams of Public health. In this way, the dynamics of the Alerts and Emergencies Coordination Center is followed, which does not receive epidemiological information from the Autonomous Communities on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.

For this reason, the data may vary once they are epidemiologically reviewed and consolidated by the General Directorate of Public Health according to the established protocols, so that in the coming days discrepancies may arise in the updating of the data contained on the Grafcan website.
