The investigating court number two of Arona, acting as a guard, has ordered the admission of the man accused of ending the life of his neighbor in Arona (Tenerife) in preventive detention without bail, as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of homicide.
The judicial authority, which has upheld the defense’s request, does not oppose the alleged murderer being admitted to the Salto del Negro prison in Gran Canaria and not in Tenerife 2, in order to preserve his physical integrity, he reported this Thursday the Superior Court of Justice of the Canary Islands (TSJC).
Apparently in Tenerife 2 people related to the victim could have entered, adds the TSJC, which indicates that the judicial authority does not object to the fact that, once entered in Salto del Negro, he is admitted to the nursing module of this Gran Canaria prison.
It is also authorized that, without losing the condition of preventive prisoner, he is transferred to a hospital psychiatry unit of the public health so that his condition can be evaluated, and he may remain temporarily admitted if the doctors who recognize him deem it.
The procedure will not go to the courts of violence against women, as there is no sentimental relationship between the investigated and the victim, the TSJC specifies.
The detainee, a 21-year-old with a psychiatric history, was arrested on Tuesday by Civil Guard agents in the area known as Finca Fontán, in the Tenerife municipality of Arona.
The service was activated around 03:30 a.m. on Tuesday after receiving a notice that an altercation had taken place and when the agents arrived at the scene, they found the lifeless body of the woman.
Although yesterday the Civil Guard sources did not specify the circumstances of the incident pending the progress of the investigation, the woman apparently suffered an attack with a sharp object in the neck.
