These innovation laboratories are immersed in the program of activities of INfuture STEAM, which arises with the objective of creating a competency-based learning program aimed especially at the child and youth population of Tenerife, complementary to formal education and in close cooperation with the island’s educational institutions.
The actions of this program allow the participating students to «discover and experiment the world of new technologies, enhancing their ingenuity and creativity through dynamic workshops that seek to transmit the passion for science, technology, engineering, and many other matters raised in a transversal way ».
Its promoters emphasize that «with an innovative pedagogical model we seek to motivate by the content and not only by the technology itself, in an environment in which the participants ask, seek, explore, investigate and be builders of your knowledge, giving the opportunity to express themselves and contribute their ideas so that, ultimately, they are the protagonists of their own learning.
