The General Directorate of Public Health has communicated to the Santa Cruz City Council the imposition of a fine of 5,000 euros for the celebration of an act of Carnival in 2021, specifically for the recording that took place on February 19 next to La Granja park. Public Health estimates that an act was held with the public when at that time the state of alarm was still in effect.
From the Party area, its manager, Alfonso Cabello, advances that, after exhausting the administrative procedure, that he will go to court to file a dispute against a decision that, he says, has been taken based on erroneous premises.
“In the past carnival there were several shootings that were made in different parts of the city. When we received the notification about the Belgium avenue, we saw that they mixed an event that the House of Culture was doing that same day, which did have an audience, and we believe that there has been a confusion, “he defended. “We are going to present an appeal. We have a photographic dossier and a contingency plan ”, he concluded.
