«It was done and that’s it; there is nothing more to talk about! ». This was one of the phrases that the young Adrián pronounced aloud and visibly upset to recognize the events during the reconstruction of the murder of a woman in the neighborhood Llanos de Guaza, in Arona, committed during the early morning of this Thursday. Adrián, 21, was arrested as the alleged perpetrator of the violent death of a neighbor of his, Dácil, 62, who was allegedly stabbed in the neck by a sharp object.
In the aforementioned procedure investigation, which began shortly before 2:00 p.m., The judicial authority, agents of the Crimes Against Persons Team of the Organic Unit of the Judicial Police of the Civil Guard (UOPJ), members of the Territorial Team of the Playa de las Américas Judicial Police, staff of the Criminalistics Laboratory of the Institute were present. Armed and two direct relatives of the accused. In a visibly altered tone, the accused also claimed that he had smoked “a joint” prior to the event.
The homicide occurred in the early morning hours inside the victim’s home, a two-story building located on Calle San Silvestre. Dácil had been living in this enclave in the South of Tenerife for many years, although he was supposedly a native of the El Pris area, in the municipality of Tacoronte, according to some neighbors.
The alert to the security forces for the homicide occurred at 3:30 a.m. and the area was first attended by civil guards from Citizen Security, as well as members of the Arona Local Police. Supposedly, a person who resides in said street heard the screams and the violent attack on the house of the affected. And seconds later he saw that the now prisoner jumped the wall that separates the terrace of said house from the public road. Afterwards, the now accused sat in the street to wait for the security forces.
According to some sources, the mother and a brother of the accused tried to revive or keep the victim alive, but without success. The victim was allegedly assaulted while asleep. He received several injuries to the neck. If this hypothesis is confirmed, it could be a murder, since the woman had no option of defense.
In the early hours of yesterday afternoon, Adrián came out of the reconstruction of the events with his face and upper body covered by a towel. According to various sources, it is a young man with a history of psychiatric problems and who shows violent behavior as a result of drug use.
His parents were very affected after the end of the aforementioned investigation process. They explained that their son’s character changed considerably after he started using drugs. In fact, his father was so nervous that he allowed a grandfather of the now accused to drive his vehicle.
Neighbors in the area explained that Adrián had, in recent years, aggressive behavior and violent, as well as that he starred in confrontations and fights with his own relatives. One woman pointed out that “one day something like this was going to happen.” And, supposedly, the one arrested today also had some confrontations with two of the victim’s children. Both young people, according to some sources consulted, have been arrested on occasion for their alleged connection with the distribution of narcotic substances at retail. About a year ago they were detained by the National Police.
One of them was very upset when he arrived at the scene, as he felt very close to his mother. The house of the alleged perpetrator of the homicide is opposite the house of the deceased woman. In this last address, civil guards from the Crime Laboratory spent several hours to carry out the visual inspection, the photographic report and the taking of fingerprints.
In addition, they registered a kind of fenced lot with a wall of blocks that is located on San Silvestre street, a short distance from the building where the violent death occurred, supposedly to look for the weapon used in the facts.
