The Municipal Consumer Information Office (OMIC) of Santiago del Teide, which is located on Avenida Marítima in Playa de La Arena, has recently presented its annual report for the year 2021 and it states that it has intervened in 135 mediations, the majority with a positive result that allowed users to recover more than € 10,000.
The annual report also indicates that 42 complaints were collected and sent to the competent bodies in charge of handling these complaints.
For its part, the total number of inquiries made by consumers in person at said office or by telephone was 195.
The most frequent inquiries and claims have been those from mechanical workshops, furniture stores, private medical centers, post offices, car rentals, internet purchases, insurance, electricity companies, banks, airlines, shipping companies and mobile phone companies; these being 98% of the claims.
