The Tenerife Council has approved in the Governing Council, through the Natural Environment and Safety Management area, to grant a grant to the El Rincón Consortium worth 300,000 euros to carry out the staircase project and access to Los Patos beach in the municipality of La Orotava.
The president of the Cabildo de Tenerife, Pedro Martin, says in a statement that the access problem to Los Patos Beach It has become recurrent and it specifies that the state in which these accesses are found “is very dangerous, which is why we have believed sufficient reasons of public interest to justify this important subsidy, which will help the Consortium to execute this nnecessary project in the municipality“He affirms that there have been several administrative reasons, which have appealed about this project since its inception in 2017, which has delayed its start-up and a previous grant had to be reversed.
It was in May 2021 when the Consortium once again requested the Cabildo to grant this amount, which has been paid with a period of one year for the execution of the works, points out the counselor of the Natural Environment and Security Management area, Isabel García.
The Cabildo indicates that the El Rincón Consortium is a public law entity, with its own legal personality made up of the Public Administrations of the Autonomous Community of the Canary Islands, the Island Council of Tenerife, and the City Council of La Orotava, and by the private entities of the El Rincón Homeowners Association, the Unión Vistas del Teide de El Rincón Neighborhood Association and El Rincón Coordinator – Ecologists in Action.
