SANTA CRUZ DE LA PALMA, December 31 (EUROPA PRESS) –
Aerocamaras, a leading Spanish company in drones, collaborates with SIACAN (Comprehensive Animal Service of the Canary Islands) with the donation of a drone with a thermal camera to search for animals on La Palma.
The association, which has been working on a voluntary basis since the eruption of the Cumbre Vieja volcano began, has recently launched a ‘crowdfunding’ campaign to continue rescuing the animals that were trapped between the lava flows.
Aerocámaras joins this initiative with the donation of a state-of-the-art drone, unlimited technical and renewal service, various training courses for members of the protectors and 1,000 euros to support the launch and dissemination of this campaign.
All the benefits obtained with this ‘crowdfunding’ will be destined both to the expansion of SIACAN’s facilities, as well as to the acquisition of the food and medicines necessary for the care of the animals.
Jaime Pereira, CEO of Aerocamaras, highlights “the importance of using drones to locate and rescue animals that could not get to safety with their families, that is why we have been helping in everything we have been able to since the eruption began.”
Now, he indicates, “apart from contributing our own grain of sand, we encourage everyone to join the SIACAN initiative.”
