The Anaga District will have just over 300,000 euros in 2022, which is 30% more than the current one, money that will focus on the execution of works that improve the lives of residents as well as maintaining and expanding municipal support to the workshops that are being organized, as well as the different festivities that are held in the towns of Anaga.
“We are going to carry out works, which is what Anaga needs, at least road or runway maintenance works. That is our purpose for working at Anaga ”pointed out Fuentes.
An example of this effort is the work that has already been completed in Taborno, “where we have invested 40,000 euros to reduce the share of the slope of the neighbors to access their houses.” As for specific items, it will have 50,000 euros for urban furniture; road maintenance will have 110,000; another 29,000 for lighting; 40,000 to improve the accessibility of municipal premises; and 5,000 for garden maintenance.
Another item of 50,000 euros will be used to fix local roads, in the deepest part of Anaga, most of them dirt tracks to which concrete will be put to give accessibility and safety.
A good part of the larger works will be carried out by Infrastructures, which among its projects include some such as the construction of a sports center in Taganana, on municipal property, right next to the cemetery, “where you can practice sport but that also serves as a space for leisure and recreation for the neighbors ”.
In the Technology area there are also projects for Anaga, Fuentes recalled, which consist of providing Wi-Fi points in places like Roque Negro, Taborno, Roque Bermejo, Chamorga or Afur.
