The Winter University of Arona (UIA) has already opened the registration period for the university extension courses that will be taught at the Los Cristianos Cultural Center, in the afternoons of February and March. The price of registration for registered in the municipality is 10 euros, while the general registration will cost 20 euros. In this edition, the UIA will offer five courses that will be taught between February 1 and March 8. Each of three days in length. The main topics revolve around post-pandemic tourism marketing, basic knowledge of natural disasters such as volcanoes or sign language.
The first course will begin on February 1 and is entitled Natural catastrophes of geological origin, which will offer basic and general knowledge about volcanic eruptions and earthquakes, prediction, forecasting, prevention and appropriate mitigation measures in each case.
The second course, Marketing, brand management and new models of tourism production: promotion in post-pandemic times, will begin on February 8. Its objectives are to provide students with a basis on the promotion of tourism products in audiovisual social networks and brand management and to discuss the most effective strategies for an optimal recovery of the sector.
On February 16, the third course will begin, Pedagogy of emotions for personal and social well-being, related to how to relate in a healthy way.
Theoretical-technical course Spanish Sign Language (LSE) is the fourth course, which will begin on February 22 and interested people will be able to maintain a basic conversation with a person (deaf, deafblind, autistic, etc.).
On March 8, the course Use of drones: utilities, applications and regulations will begin, aimed at the public interested in acquiring knowledge about drones, their applications, the required instrumentation and the regulations in force for their flight.
