Tenerife’s tram and bus service reduce their hours on Christmas Eve and Christmas



Metrotenerife and Transportes Interurbanos de Tenerife (Titsa) will activate special hours in the tram and bus services for the Christmas Eve and Christmas celebrations.

In the case of the tram, the service will conclude on both lines at 8:30 p.m. to reconcile the celebration with the company’s workers, so at that time the last trams will leave from the ends of the lines until the service ends.

As reported this Wednesday by the public company in a statement, from early in the morning Line 1 will be operating every 6 minutes until 3:00 p.m., and then do it with frequencies of 7.5 and 10 minutes throughout the afternoon.

Line 2 will have a passing interval of 12 minutes, also until 3:00 p.m., and then it will be 15 and 20 minutes.

At 8:30 p.m., of course, the last units will depart from the Intercambiador and La Trinidad stops on Line 1, and from La Cuesta and Tíncer on Line 2.

At Christmas, next Saturday, the tram will resume its service on both lines starting at eight in the morning, offering 12-minute frequencies most of the day, and the night service will continue as usual.

The president of Metrotenerife, Enrique Arriaga, has invited citizens to use public transport on these Christmas dates to avoid greater traffic congestion in the metropolitan area.

Meanwhile, Titsa will modify the start and end times of its services on December 24 and 25 to celebrate Christmas Eve and Christmas.

Short-haul lines will make their last service between 6:10 p.m. and 8:35 p.m., while long-haul lines will make their last departure at the time that allows all services to end at approximately 8:35 p.m. .

With regard to Christmas, the bus service will begin to operate at 8:10 am, according to the usual hours of each line on public holidays.

Lines 014 and 015 will leave for the last time in the direction of La Laguna at 8:16 p.m. and 8:25 p.m., respectively, while in the direction of Santa Cruz de Tenerife it will be at 8:05 p.m. and 8:25 p.m.

The 026, which connects Santa Cruz and La Laguna, will finally depart from the capital at 7:50 p.m., while the last trip from La Laguna will also be at 7:50 p.m.

Line 101, which connects La Laguna with La Orotava, will make the last departure from La Laguna at 7:40 p.m., while the last trip from La Orotava will be at 7:50 p.m.

Lines 102 and 103, which connect Santa Cruz with Puerto de la Cruz, will leave for the last time from Santa Cruz at 7:55 p.m. and 7:45 p.m. respectively. From Puerto de la Cruz, the last departure corresponds to 7:55 p.m., 102, and 7:35 p.m., 103.

For its part, line 108, which connects Santa Cruz de Tenerife with the Los Realejos junction, will have the last departure from the capital at 6:40 p.m. and from the Los Realejos junction at 7:00 p.m.

Regarding services to the south of the island, line 110, which connects Santa Cruz with Costa Adeje, will leave the capital for the last time at 7:30 p.m., while the last route of the day is scheduled to go in the opposite direction. at the same time.

Likewise, the 111 will connect for the last time both points of the island at 7:25 p.m. from the capital and at 7:55 p.m. from the south.

Line 120, which connects Santa Cruz with Güímar, will make its last departure from the capital at 8:05 p.m., while from Güímar it will take place at 8:00 p.m.

Line 122, which connects Santa Cruz de Tenerife and Candelaria, will leave for the last time that night at 7:50 p.m. from the capital Interchange and at 8:00 p.m. in the return direction.

In addition, line 473 will depart at 6:20 p.m. from Los Cristianos and at 7:45 p.m. from Los Gigantes. Line 467 will make its last departure from Costa del Silencio at 7:50 pm; and from La Caleta at the same time.

The services of lines 104, 137, 420, 711 will not be provided during the night of December 24 to 25.

The programming for Christmas Eve will also affect urban service lines in Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

Lines 901, 902, 903, 904, 905, 906, 908, 909, 910, 911, 912, 914, 919, 920, 921, 923, 933, 934, 935, 936, 937, 939, 941 and 946 will perform its last services from the Santa Cruz de Tenerife interchange between 7:10 p.m. and 8:35 p.m., depending on the route.

On the other hand, the trips of lines 940 and 945 will end at 6:10 p.m. and 6:15 p.m., respectively, and circular 914 will make its last departure at 8:35 p.m. from the interchange.

The rest of the unrelated lines, 916, 917, 944 and 947, will carry out their usual working day hours, while the 971 and 972 trips will not be carried out.

The urban service lines of La Laguna will also have changes: lines 204, 206, 217, 219, 224, 260, 270 and 271 will end their services in the time slot between 18:55 and 20:30, depending of the line.

The rest of routes, 201, 203, 253, 274 and 275 will have trips in their usual hours of working days.
