The Malaysian New Year’s Eve returns to Las Teresitas beach one more year, fulfilling the third edition of this event, which brings together many chicharreros every year around the sun, the good atmosphere and the typical gastronomy and drink of the beach to leave the year in a special way and close to home. The idea that emerged among the Las Teresitas kiosks was born with the intention of being able to celebrate the end of the year at a different time that was attractive. For this reason, they decided to celebrate the New Year’s Eve in Malaysia, which coincides with 3:00 p.m. in the Canary Islands. Now, with COVID, it has also become a safer alternative to celebrate the end of the year with relatives, where the safety distance is guaranteed, since it is on the air and all sanitary measures are respected.
The sixth wave has truncated the plans of many to celebrate these holidays, therefore, it has become necessary to find alternatives in which to enjoy safely, without putting ourselves at risk or exposing our relatives. In this sense, the Malaysian end of the year on the beach of Las Teresitas proposes an outdoor appointment, with prior reservation through Instagram and Facebook of the kiosks to avoid crowds, requesting the COVID certificate, with tables separated by distance of safety and mandatory mask when not consuming.
If we add to safety the environment, the good atmosphere, the food and the party favors that each kiosk will offer you, we find a perfect plan. Among the kiosks that have joined this initiative are La Isla Beach Gastrobar, Enjoytas, Agüita Salada, La Mar & Klub, Bambú Beach Club, Caracol Beach Club and Flow Beach Club, almost all of them. that the capacity, always with reservation, is practically guaranteed at this point. Some stalls such as Caracol and Flow will also offer attendees a glass of cava, and the rest will inform them if they offer any special features at the time of booking.
This initiative has been very well received in its previous editions, even in 2020, at which time the pandemic was showing the worst income and death data. Having this previous experience, in which there was no contagion and sanitary measures were maintained at all times, this year the offer is consolidated as safe, fun and different.
The event will start at 3:00 p.m., coinciding with the end of the year in Malaysia and will end around 7:00 p.m. Groups of up to eight people will be able to access and it will be free, although some venues may ask for a symbolic minimum consumption to be able to make the reservation.
