Five people affected by smoke inhalation in a house fire in Tenerife


Five people have been affected with smoke inhalation poisoning, including three children aged 4, 10 and 11, in the course of a fire that took place early this Saturday in a house located on Calle García Lorca in Santa Cruz of Tenerife.

As reported by the Emergency and Security Coordination Center (Cecoes) 112, members of the Firefighters Consortium were in charge of extinguishing the flames and ventilating the property.

While the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) assisted five affected, including a man who suffered moderate poisoning from smoke inhalation, for which he was transferred in a medicalized ambulance to the Nuestra Señora de La Candelaria University Hospital.

In addition, a woman and the three minors had mild intoxication due to smoke inhalation, some being taken to Our Lady of La Candelaria and others to the University Hospital of the Canary Islands.

Finally, the Local Police and the National Police instructed the corresponding proceedings.
