The Candelaria Town Hall has decided to postpone the Christmas concerts of Besay Pérez and Big Band Kids & Swing, scheduled for this Saturday and Sunday, to promote prevention in the face of the increase in the incidence of coronavirus in the archipelago.
Likewise, the 26th Gathering of Christmas Carols of the Chajoigo Folkloric Group, the awards ceremony of the III Villa de Candelaria Children’s Cycling League and the Christmas party of the Rainbow Center, the council has informed in a statement.
In addition, the theatrical and musical route “Candelaria at Christmas” and the parade with the batucada Almagec have been canceled.
The rest of the planned activities will be adapted to the measures established by the Government of the Canary Islands for level 3 health alert.
From the City Council of Candelaria an appeal is made to the public to continue complying with and being responsible in complying with current regulations to prevent the spread of the virus at a very difficult time with the increase in infections.
