A plenary session that began with the councilor of CC-PNC Candelaria Díaz requesting a point of order to read a letter that, at the end of November, was sent by the Official College of Secretaries, Auditors and Treasurers of Local Administration of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, in the one that conveys his “most absolute rejection of the treatment received” by a companion in the framework of a meeting with a government councilor and an official. The letter states that “the comrade has transferred to us her deep discomfort with the conduct of the aforementioned official, addressing it with humiliating treatment,” said CC, who asked to convene an investigation commission and clarify responsibilities.
The mayor of La Laguna, Luis Yeray Gutiérrez, responded that “the same day that document arrived, this mayor opened a file of confidential information. It was communicated to both the civil servants and the leadership of the Mayor’s office that, given the assessments that were expressed in that document, they had to act immediately, and if responsibilities have to be purged, they will be purged ”. In addition, he criticized CC that, “as the majority group of the opposition, if it has this document,” it should have “brought it to the attention of the Mayor’s Office and we would have discussed it in a private meeting, which is how such delicate issues are dealt with, and they would know the measures that have been taken ”.
The Plenary also addressed the file related to the taking of knowledge of the transfer to the position of non-attached councilor of Alfredo Gómez.
