The Santiago del Teide City Council presents the I edition of the “Sandanza 2021” Dance Festival, whose motivation is based on the creation of a multipurpose space for dance where art in movement becomes the epicenter of public attention, allowing may dance open a gap in our municipality.
In this I edition, there will be two Tenerife dance companies with which the aforementioned exhibition will be inaugurated, which aims to extend its days of celebration to become a Festival and which seeks to gradually embrace the diversity of styles that human beings have created with this art; in such a way that “Sandanza 2021” will allow us to expand our cultural offer, support the cultural industry and publicize the quality of our island companies.
Thus, this present edition -which will have limited capacity and the application of the established sanitary measures- will take place at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 19, and will do so in Plaza Norberto García de La Vigilia -Puerto de Santiago-, where attendees will be able to enjoy the María Mora Dance Company, which with its show “Mother” stages the journey between generations of a 20th century woman who has evolved over time and who, between other aspects, it is asked “what is to be a good or a bad mother?”.
Likewise, this edition will also feature the participation of the Entredanza Company, which with its show “Bailando los Clásicos II” invites the viewer to a whole aesthetic experience in which soprano and tenor will be in charge of uniting and guiding different dance pieces towards a meeting point with the public, inviting them to come closer and enjoy the aforementioned artistic discipline.
