SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Dec. 15 (EUROPA PRESS) –

All three suffered from previous pathologies and remained in hospital.
The Accumulated Incidence at 7 days in the Canary Islands stands at 202.58 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 14 days at 324.46 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
By islands, Tenerife adds 792 cases with a total of 52,487 accumulated cases and 4,041 epidemiologically active cases; Gran Canaria has 42,282 accumulated cases, 270 more than the previous day and 3,202 active.

La Gomera adds two new cases, so it has 485 accumulated and its assets are 22 and El Hierro adds four new positives, with 481 and 12 active cases.
Until this Wednesday, a total of 2,511,315 diagnostic tests have been carried out on the islands, of which 10,962 correspond to this Tuesday.
The Ministry attributes the high number of infections to the greater mobility and socialization that has been taking place since the beginning of December, following an upward and continuous evolution in the last week whose trend is being analyzed by Public Health.
PUBLIC HEALTH INVESTIGATES THE INCREASE OF POSITIVES
This pattern of increase is also observed in other autonomous communities since the greater number of positives each day generates an increase in screening, with which the detection of new cases also accumulates.
Thus, the epidemiologists of the General Directorate of Public Health are analyzing the trend and variability of the behavior of the transmission of the coronavirus, since the diagnostic capacity has doubled in the last week.
In this sense, they ensure that the health system is having diagnostic capacity so that new cases have been detected with an average of 7,570 CRP daily, this Tuesday more than 10,000.
In this sense, Public Health analyzes recent outbreaks resulting from social and family gatherings that are increasing in the number of cases.
In fact, in recent weeks, although there had been a similar number of outbreaks to this week, they contained fewer associated cases.
An example is reflected in last week’s registry with only two outbreaks with more than 10 associated cases, while this week there are already 8 outbreaks with more than 13 cases linked to each one of them.
