Sí Podemos Canarias asks the Cabildo to carry out a campaign to control and eradicate cat’s tail in the Anaga Rural Park. The counselor Ruth Acosta will also ask the island government for the criteria established in the Master Plan for Use and Management for the celebration of sporting events. It will also ask for explanations for the agricultural holdings affected by the loss of water in the Valle Molina reservoir, in Tegueste.
The political group presents a motion to the next Plenary Natural Environment Commission in order to “control and eradicate the spread of the plant popularly known as cat’s tail (Pennisetum setaceum) in the Anaga Rural Park. Ruth Acosta affirms that “the uncontrolled dispersal of this invasive exotic species Tahodio, Valle Luis and the El Cercado ravine is very worrying, a real threat to the native flora in those areas.”
