The Buenavista del Norte City Council has begun to deliver the scholarships corresponding to this academic year 2021-2022 to the beneficiary families. In total, 54 applications were presented, of which 38 were attended, corresponding to students who are studying at the infant, primary, secondary and other higher education levels.

The City Council has allocated a game of 14,000 euros due to the need to meet the maximum number of applications submitted. The amounts are divided into those destined to defray the costs of school canteens, those directed to aid for the acquisition of teaching materials and / or textbooks, another item for transport costs and a last one for accommodation costs.

Esteban Lorenzo, councilor for Social Welfare and Education of the Buenavistero Consistory, assures that “the economic crisis and the pandemic have aggravated the situation of families, making it necessary to carry out actions by the administrations to respond to certain needs.” Contacts with the families have already been made to notify the income of the requested aid, and thus be able to meet the expenses of this school year.
