Until this session of the filming of the commercial, of which the product has not yet transcended for reasons of confidentiality of the signature, the mayor, José Manuel Bermúdez, accompanied by councilor Alfonso Cabello, expressed “the satisfaction that this city ​​for the filming of this type of audiovisual products, which in addition to the economic repercussions that it entails for companies related to the sector, represent an invaluable promotional opportunity ”, argued the mayor.

Cabello affirms that “although a hundred hiring was foreseen, in the end there were 185 people, including extras, technical personnel, etc., in this audiovisual production, which also had the company Volcano Films of invoice Tenerife and with audiovisual experience, which represents a very important opportunity for professionals in the sector and companies that operate on the Island ”and highlight the“ very important work of municipal officials in streamlining all the procedures and permits necessary for these production companies to continue choosing Santa Cruz to shoot ”.

For his part, Alfonso Cabello points out that “in this audiovisual production he has been working for more than a month, both in the locations and in obtaining the necessary permits”, while insisting that “there are already 90 audiovisual works that are they have facilitated through the Development Society in this 2021, between photo sessions, announcements of consecrated firms, films, series, etc. ”.

“In fact,” says Cabello, “the Development Society created the Santa Cruz Film Office with the intention of capturing and developing all the work and tasks relevant to the audiovisual sector that take place in this capital” and concludes by stating that “this project that has been developing in the municipality for years is the one that presents a record balance in terms of the number and importance of the projects that have chosen the city as a setting ”.

It must be taken into account that, over the last few years, more than 400 productions have taken place in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, so Cabello insists that “it is precisely because of the line of continuous and meticulous work that has been carried out with the Development Society, which is why agency companies positively value this city as a ‘friend of filming’ ”, and adds that“ that is why the audiovisual industry is a reality in Santa Cruz, both in terms of the number of companies installed as per the varied chapter of scenarios for unique locations such as Anaga, historical and urban heritage values ​​”.

From the point of view of the economic repercussion, the data indicate that the investment of the producer in this ad with the singer Dua Lipa as the protagonist and that the capital of Santa Cruz as the chosen scenario has been around half a million euros, disbursed in companies transportation, extras, production staff, and so on.
