Raúl Díaz and Yahaira Afonso were the absolute winners of the V Vertical Trail Nocturna Los Gigantes which took place this past Saturday, December 11, over a distance of 6km that linked the Muelle de Los Gigantes and the Plaza Santa Ana de Tamaimo along the Camino Real.
The podium of the male category was as follows: the athlete finished first Raúl Díaz Perdomo with a time of 33:05, second place was Francisco Lastra with a time of 34:42 while at the same time he entered third place Juan José Arganda.
In female category the podium was as follows: the local athlete finished first Yahaira Afonso with a time of 43:32, second place was occupied by the athlete Maria Camarero with a time of 46:48 while the third place went to the Olga Fabiola Morales with a time of 51:23.
Regarding the local men’s result of the race, the first place went to Juan Jose Arganda with a time of 34:42, second place went to Ruben Flores with a time of 39:14 while third place went to Eduardo Mesa with a time of 40:22.
Regarding the local female category, the first and only place went to Yahaira Afonso with a time of 43:32.
Present at the trophy ceremony were the Mayor, Emilio Navarro, the Sports Councilor, Juan Carlos González and the Government Councilor, Noelia Beatriz González.
