Arriaga and San Gil, yesterday in Madrid. Ceded

“From Citizens we are leaving our skin to find solutions for those affected by the eruption of The Palm”. This was stated this morning by the regional coordinator of Cs Canarias, Enrique Arriaga placeholder image, during the 1st Liberal Meeting of Municipalities of Spain, held in Madrid, where the orange formation has shown its support for those affected by the eruptive process that has been going on in La Palma since last September 19 and has affected more than 2,000 houses and farms. At this meeting, the councilor in Santa Cruz de La Palma has also acted as a speaker to explain the serious social and economic crisis that the volcano has generated. Juan Arturo San Gil.

For his part, Enrique Arriaga has stated that “there is much to do and it must be done quickly because the palm trees do not need promises, but they need aid, housing, subsidies, and, above all, that they arrive now.” Likewise, the leader of the orange formation in the Archipelago also highlighted in his speech the work that the liberal party has done in all the institutions to put in place the necessary resources that those affected need. In this sense, he stated that “from Ciudadanos we have proven to be up to par.”

“We are working by and for the palm trees, they occupy us and they concern us. And we do it from the municipalities, as does Juan Arturo in Santa Cruz de La Palma, as well as other liberal councilors from all over the country who have presented and promoted motions to allocate resources to the victims and have even organized aid collections ” , Arriaga has recognized.

For his part, Juan Arturo San Gil thanked “the work of the security forces, emergency services and Civil Protection.” “The face of solidarity is a human face, and is made up of thousands of people who have been renouncing normality for 3 months to face an unprecedented emergency,” he stressed.

“When it is a natural drama that hits us and there is no one to blame, the politics of the guts and the confrontation are useless. All you have to do is pitch in, ”he declared. Finally, he has shown his pride because “in the midst of this tragedy we have managed to make La Palma news for solidarity, for aid, for the union between administrations, and not for insults, disqualifications or for continuing to fuel the conflict” .
