They recover a man from a cardiorespiratory arrest in Puerto de la Cruz

Staff of the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) and the Local Police have recovered an 83-year-old man from a cardiorespiratory arrest in the middle of the street in Cross port.

The events took place at 4:18 p.m. when the Emergency and Security Coordination Center (Cecoes) 1-1-2 The Government of the Canary Islands received an alert from the Local Police of Puerto de la Cruz in which it was reported that a man had suffered a blackout in the Plaza del Charco and they were providing assistance.

After verifying that the affected person was in cardiorespiratory arrest, the agents began to practice resuscitation maneuvers that SUC personnel continued until they managed to recover the affected person’s pulse.

Once stabilized, he was transferred in critical condition by medical ambulance to the University Hospital of the Canary Islands (HUC).
