SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Dec. 10 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Minister of Public Administrations, Justice and Security of the Government of the Canary Islands and person in charge of Pevolca, Julio Pérez, and the mayor of Los Llanos de Aridane, Noelia García, have met today to explore the possibilities of action for the future in the cemetery located in the neighborhood of Las Manchas affected by the lava in the volcanic eruption on La Palma.
Future actions in the Nuestra Señora de Los Ángeles cemetery, located in the municipality of Los Llanos de Aridane, will be studied jointly with the competent Public Health technical personnel, and in any case will be based on the final condition of the eruption on it.
The cemetery, which is located on the south side of Montaña Cogote, was crossed by one of the lava flows on November 25, without completely burying it. In it there are 3,800 niches and 315 niches of remains.
