SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Dec. 9 (EUROPA PRESS) –
Civil Guard agents have identified and reported a very serious offense to a foreign citizen dedicated to organizing excursions with groups of people to enter a restricted area through different roads / trails and see the La Palma volcano from a prohibited area, thus breaching the rules established in this regard.
The events occurred during the prevention services that Civil Guard agents have been carrying out in the various accesses to restricted areas with the aim of guaranteeing the safety of all citizens from the beginning of the emergency, more specifically when they surprised four hikers that were within the exclusion zone.
After being identified and during the course of the conversation that the Civil Guard agents had with them, one of them acknowledged being the organizer of this type of excursion, for which he charged an amount of money.
All were proposed for sanction for non-compliance with the provisions of Law 17/2015, of July 9, of the National Civil Protection System, specifically to tourists for a serious infraction of this law, and to the organizer for a very serious infraction , which are sanctioned with fines of between 30,001 and 600,000 euros.
