The public company Sermugran develops a plan to reinforce cleaning on the occasion of Christmas. It is applied in commercial areas with the highest influx of public during December and January. The campaign, includes more staff and increased frequency in morning and afternoon shifts, will focus on disinfection and maintenance tasks, street flushing, waste collection and change of bins, among other things.
The president of Sermugran, Marcos González, argues that at this time of year the presence of citizens in commercial areas and public spaces increases, which translates into a demand for services “that have already been programmed in advance by Sermugran, with which they are intended to provide answers and cover the needs in terms of cleaning in our municipality.
For her part, the vice president of Sermugran, María Candelaria Rodríguez, explains that this action will be carried out throughout the town, but especially in the commercial areas of the municipality, anticipating more than 300 work days in the busiest points in the different enclaves of Granada.
From Sermugran, citizen support and collaboration is also requested to guarantee the highest levels of cleaning and to be able to achieve better results in this spatial plan. At the same time, the public company recalls the current regulations that, among other things, establish the prohibition of depositing garbage bags in bins, the correct use of them and avoiding leaving waste in public spaces.
