Canary Coalition (CC) in Tacoronte has claimed that the works of the El Pris fishing shelter begin immediately, some works that the nationalists consider a priority for the municipality and for this sector. For this reason, the Nationalist Group in Parliament, at the proposal of its counterparts in Tacoronte, has presented an amendment to the General Budgets of the Autonomous Community of the Canary Islands for 2022 for an amount of 650,000 euros. The purpose of responding to this need “in the face of the negligence of the Canarian Government.”
The spokesperson for the Canary Islands Coalition in the Tacoronte Town Hall, Álvaro Dávila, wanted to thank the CC-PNC-AHI parliamentary group that, «for the third consecutive year, has presented an amendment to the Budgets of the Canary Islands Autonomous Community so that in 2022 the works of the El Pris fishing refuge will begin ». He takes the opportunity to recall and criticize that, “for the third consecutive year”, the regional Executive “has forgotten about this very important infrastructure.”
Álvaro Dávila denounces the neglect of the local and regional governments in this matter
The nationalist councilor explains that the El Pris fishing refuge “is a work long demanded by the fishermen of the coastal neighborhood of Tacoronte, which in the 2015-2019 legislature the Canarian Coalition government put out to tender, although it was left deserted when it did not appear no offer ”. Dávila stressed that the Puertos Canarios, “in the face of such an eventuality, decided to improve the project to put it out to tender again and get what fishermen have been asking for for 50 years.” The answer to this, so far, has been that “Unfortunately, this government has forgotten about Tacoronte, despite the fact that the same parties govern in both administrations. In none of the three budgets presented so far have they included any item, the Canary Coalition having to plan amendments to the Budget every year.
The three amendments
The first year “they had the indecency to reject the amendment, the second they accepted it, on the condition of a significant reduction (it went from 650,000 euros to 200,000 euros), although in the end they did not start the work, despite budgeting, and this year the we have presented again for 650,000 euros, “explained the spokesman for the nationalist formation in the municipality.
Álvaro Dávila also criticized that the current municipal government of Tacoronte “has not been the least bit concerned about this serious situation, since they are more concerned about their internal fights than about solving the problems of the neighbors.”
In the opinion of the CC councilor, “political chaos has settled in the municipality and the main victims are the inhabitants of Tacoronte,” concluded Dávila.
