SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Dec. 6 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Cabildo de Tenerife has trained in less than four months a hundred people who are part of the migrant group on the island.
These courses and workshops are launched within the School of Volunteering and Associations of the ‘Tenerife Isla Solidaria’ program managed by the public company Sinpromi.
The CEO of Citizen Participation and Diversity, Nauzet Gugliotta, recalls in a note that “this training favors the integration of the group through an offer of almost 250 hours of training.”
In addition, it explains that “for its approach it has had the contributions of third sector entities that carry out their work with this group as knowledgeable in the first line of their needs”.
The Attention Service for Migrants is proposed to offer the support, accompaniment and guidance that people who come to the island from abroad need, always in direct collaboration with the groups that serve them.
The 250 hours of training focus on courses and training pills that focus on improving digital skills, languages, first aid and document processing (immigration, residence, work visas, student permits), among other training.
This training, which seeks their social inclusion and also compliance with the human rights of this group, currently offers the courses ‘Spanish for foreigners’, ‘First aid in emergency situations’ and ‘Practical workshops for the processing of documents’.
The CEO of Citizen Participation and Diversity points out that “in addition to this training, volunteer organizations can also benefit from the rest of the courses and workshops that the School of Volunteering and Associations launches throughout the year.”
