A man of Italian nationality has passed away this sunday afternoon after falling to the ground while paragliding in the Tenerife town of Guide of Isora, as reported since the Emergency and Security Coordination Center 112 (Cecoes) of the Government of the Canary Islands.
The victim, whose age is unknown, was paragliding when he fell to the ground at approximately 3:30 p.m., at which time Cecoes received the alert call. The health workers from a nearby health center who traveled to the scene of the events could only certify the death of the man, who presented injuries incompatible with life, as detailed by Cecoes.
When falling to the ground, in the area of Vera de Erques in Tejina de Isora, the man was still conscious, but when the health workers arrived he no longer showed vital signs, so firefighters from the Tenerife Consortium proceeded to rescue the body from the area where he had fallen following the orders of the Judicial Authority, while the Guard Civil is in charge of the corresponding proceedings.
The Local Police of Guía de Isora, a town located in the west of Tenerife, also collaborated in the emergency.
