The works to replace the collapsed wall on the TF-333, on a private property at the height of La Montaña, will begin on Tuesday, after the Concepción bridge, confirmed Urban Planning Councilor Laura Lima. Yesterday the 15-day deadline established by the Justice to present appeals to the sentence handed down by the Contentious Administrative Court number 2 that gives the reason to the City of Los Realejos regarding the execution of the works, paralyzed by the Cabildo from Tenerife in March of last year
.
“We are waiting for the judicial certificate to confirm that no appeal has been filed and therefore the sentence is final and the execution order can be issued from the City Council,” the mayor remarked.
Since it became aware of the aforementioned court decision, the Municipal Urban Planning Management has worked to reactivate the file that allows the owner to continue the work whose budget is around 300,000 euros. In this sense, he confirmed that the current alignment, contemplated in the General Management Plan (PGO) and with an exposed stone wall, will be respected.
It should be remembered that the collapse of the wall occurred in November 2019 and in March of the following year the work began on the part of the property, with the corresponding municipal license, which days later was paralyzed by the insular area of Roads demanding the setback, a proposal that is contrary to the current PGO.
Once the execution is communicated, the owner has one week to start the works and three months to finish them, Lima said. He added that during that time it will not be necessary to cut the two lanes of the road but only one that will go in both directions with a traffic light that will regulate the passage of traffic, as was done from the first moment, in order to avoid further disturbing the road users.
The second part of the action consists of stabilizing the wall since there is a technical report that warns of the “unstable evolution” of the structure. In this case, the property has one month before the road opens to provide a technical document with the measures it will implement to secure it.
