Now it’s time to run. The Carnival of Santa Cruz 2022 you already have a company that is willing to build the stage for galas and contests at the Fairgrounds, a set that will have to be ready by the end of January.
Yesterday, the Autonomous Organization of Festivities and Recreational Activities (Oafar) awarded, in its third attempt, the construction of the Carnival stage to the company Promotion and Development of Canarian Events and Festivities, which was the only bidder that submitted an offer for the contracting of the construction, supply and installation of the scenography, to be developed at the Tenerife International Center for Fairs and Congresses for Carnival 2022. The final amount of the award, once the original price had to be raised by 30%, going from 150,000 euros to just over 200,000, it was 196,535 euros plus IGIC.
The Party Councilor, Alfonso Cabello, pointed out that the aforementioned company has experience in the construction of the scenery for the Chicharrero Carnival, since it won the tender two years ago, that of Carnival 2020, for a slightly higher amount. The rise in prices of raw materials and also in transport costs have delayed the award until the tender is adjusted.
