Different parts of the city have been adapted to receive the visitors of Full Moon.

Santa Cruz will be the scene of a busy weekend in which the city center will be the protagonist, with the largest cultural and leisure offer to date, which is back on the streets after more than two years, with an initiative that will reactivate the commercial activity of the city. In total there will be 16 areas in which the most varied cultural and leisure activities will take place.

The CEO of the Development Society, Alfonso Cabello, stressed that “Plenilunio once again turns Santa Cruz into a meeting point, and this is very important for the revitalization of commercial activity and economic recovery, in which we continue to take steps after the last positive numbers of the unemployment ”.
In addition, the mayor wanted to inform about the mobility and security of the event, of which he commented that “we have enabled a section on the web www.pleniluniosantacruz.com to inform about the different accesses to the spaces that have a perimeter closure and that will have a capacity limitation ”.

The Avenida Marítima area will be one of the busiest due to the type of activities that take place. The Chicharrock and Alisios Pop Festival festivals will be some of the great attractions of this Full Moon. Chicharrock will be present both days with a program that will run from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., while Alisios Pop Festival will run from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m., today and tomorrow. The space is gauged, so access will be through the western part of the esplanade, while the exit will be through the eastern part of it.

Another area with a wide program of activities will be the Parque García Sanabria, which will have a gastronomic space and a market area for brands and shops, which will be open to the public from 11.00 to 00.00. It will also feature musical performances starting at 12 noon. For security reasons and for better circulation, entry and exit will be at specific points. On the Borges Salas promenade, the entrance will be at the corner of Méndez Núñez and Numancia street and the exit will be through the central roundabout, while on the Blasco Robles promenade, the entrance will be through the central roundabout and the exit from the corner located between the Rambla Santa Cruz and the street Dr. José Naveiras. For its part, the Plaza del Príncipe will host circus performances and concerts from 11:00 to 00:00. With regard to accessibility, the square will have a signposted entrance and exit on calle Valentín Sanz.

Another of the outstanding spaces will be the Alameda del Duque de Santa Elena, which will feature theatrical works in a delimited area with capacity control. Thus, theatrical performances will be held today and tomorrow, by the hand of Habemus Teatro, Komba Producciones or Timaginas Teatro, as well as Canta Juegos de Navidad. The hours will be from 11.00 to 22.00. In this area, the capacity control will be carried out with the same entry and exit point through the area adjacent to the Plaza España lake. As for the children’s revitalization, it is important to note that there will be an area in the Plaza de La Candelaria, which will have a Christmas-themed toy library and musical and puppet shows aimed at the youngest members of the family. The schedule will be from 11.00 to 20.00 hours and will be complemented by the animation of Dulcylín, Zapirito Puppets and Skylight Puppets. The entrance and exit are located at the same point, in front of the Santa Cruz Chamber of Commerce building.

In the Plaza de España there will be a traditional market and a special area dedicated to Canarian traditions. You will be able to witness musical performances of Canarian parrandas, as well as exhibitions of traditional Canarian games.

The tram increases its frequencies and the ‘car parks’ offer special prices

The tram service is reinforced both on Saturday and Sunday, with an uninterrupted service of 48 hours, with frequencies of 10 minutes in the busiest hours and 15 minutes in the time slots with the lowest volume of passenger transport. The reinforcement will also serve for the celebration of La Noche en Blanco in La Laguna, which ends its week of activities. Thus, Metrotenerife will offer 90 hours of uninterrupted tram service from this Saturday to this Monday.

In terms of car parks, the car parks have special promotions, with daily rates for the whole day or special conditions. Titsa will also reinforce frequencies, and, in addition, four-hour parking will be offered free of charge in the Interchange car park for the combined use of parking + tram or bus.
