
Leroy Merlin yesterday inaugurated his new store in Adeje with the presence of the CEO of the multinational in Spain, Alain Ryckeboer; the director of the new store, Víctor Manuel García; the regional director, José Carrillo, and the head of Expansión, Juan Sevillano.
The opening ceremony was also attended by the General Director of Commerce and Consumption of the Government of the Canary Islands, David Mille, and the mayor of Adeje, José Miguel Rodríguez Fraga. Leroy Merlin Adeje becomes the company’s fifth point of sale in the Canary Islands and consists of a commercial area of more than 11,000 square meters.
For its construction, the company has invested 27 million euros, which will allow the creation of 170 direct jobs and approximately 50 indirect ones. The store is located in the Parque Comercial Adeje Shopping and its hours will be from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., Monday to Saturday, and from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Sundays and opening holidays. Víctor Manuel García, director of Leroy Merlin Adeje, highlighted at the opening ceremony that “I am very proud of the great effort made by our team of collaborators so that everyone can enjoy the experiences, products and services that the store offers. Without the involvement and great work of the team, it would not have been possible to make this project a reality ”.
Also, the manager of the Adejera store stressed the “commitment to the local economy.” Alain Ryckeboer added that “Leroy Merlin shows his enthusiasm and determination to continue advancing and growing, thus contributing to the national economy and the well-being of his employees and customers. Our purpose is to awaken in each person the motivation to create environments where they can live better ”.
