The CC-PNC group of the Council demands “that the 190 million euros of the island projects planned for 2021 be carried out urgently”. The nationalist formation criticizes “the low execution of investments, which barely reaches 28.4% in ten months.” This, they value, “highlights the lack of management of the PSOE, something that we denounce from the beginning of the mandate.” The data from the Treasury area, they add, “indicate that 265.8 million euros are planned for investments, of which 75.5 have been executed until October 31”.
For CC-PNC it is essential that investments be accelerated “Because they create jobs and are a boost for the island’s economic reactivation.” Thus, he points out that in the Social Action area “only 27% has been invested and 26.2 million remain to be executed”, which has caused “that no new place has been created in the last two years.”
Similarly, CC criticizes that of the 107 million euros planned in the area of Roads, Mobility, Innovation and Culture, “almost 70 million remain to be executed when two months remain to conclude the year.” Meanwhile, in Employment and Socioeconomic Development, 7.1 million euros had been foreseen in investments, of which only 2% have been executed.
CC warns that “public bidding is down 61% compared to last year”
CC-PNC also demands a greater boost in sightseeing, “Without a director since April, which translates into low execution of planned projects.” Of the 25.6 million euros in 2021, “they have only executed 5.3 million (20%), something that has a negative impact on our main industry.”
CC-PNC also claims “that 11 million euros be invested in Municipal Cooperation and Housing works.” The counselor Carmen Delia Alberto criticizes “the low execution of the actions planned for 2021, which barely reaches 38% – there are still 11 out of a total of 17.8 million”. The nationalists warn that “public bidding in the Archipelago has dropped by 61% compared to last year.”
This injection would serve «to give solution to the problems of the municipalities » Alberto points out, who adds: “These are actions such as sewerage works, drinking water supply and resurfacing of municipal roads in urban centers.”
