SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Dec. 3 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Bach Center Abama in Tenerife has strengthened its work in the prevention and detection of cardiovascular diseases, the leading cause of death in the world, thanks to Philips’ innovative spectral detection scanner, the IQon Spectral CT.
As reported by the center, its director, Dr. Luis Ángel Samaniego, together with his medical team, use this advanced technology that analyzes the patient’s heart in just four seconds and determines their genetic predisposition to suffer from cardiovascular diseases.
In this way, the Bach Care method combines early diagnostic imaging with the intention of changing people’s behavior, which is why it has the motto ‘Add life to life’ is the motto of this center that aims to prevent cardiovascular diseases.
Samaniego has commented that technological innovation and behavioral action transforming healthy habits into daily realities “are the basis of our work to give clients well-being and add quality of life to their lives”.
CLEAR IMAGES OF THE INTERIOR OF THE ARTERIES
Regarding the way of working, first of all, from the Tenerife center they carry out an early diagnosis using the IQon Spectral CT scanner, a pioneering innovation that uses on-demand color quantification to help identify the composition of what is observed.
With this Philips technology, arteries are non-invasively analyzed in order to provide sharp spectral images of the interior of arteries in real time.
Through the scanner, the amount of soft plaque that a patient has in his coronary arteries is visualized, a factor that is directly related to the risk of heart attack.
“We proceed to photograph the obstructive plaque with absolute clarity –explains the doctor–, taking advantage of the technological development of our equipment, the most advanced in the world, which in a few seconds manages to offer us spectral images of the interior of our coronary arteries”.
INTERIORIZE HEART-HEALTHY BEHAVIORS
In addition to diagnosing the origin of heart and brain infarcts early, Bach Care decided to observe, analyze learning and apply different strategies in order to contribute to modifying the upward trend of this disease. From this fact, the other part of the method is born, that of the behavioral aspect.
In this regard, Samaniego commented that it has been scientifically proven that knowledge of risk factors and heart-healthy lifestyle habits is as important as the fact of internalizing these behaviors so that they are maintained over time.
“It is known that the family and work environment of each person is different, so we take care of adapting the heart-healthy proposals individually so that they can be carried out and do not generate frustration in people,” he said.
All in all, it is an innovative model based on prevention that combines medical science and technology with therapeutic architecture to improve the quality of life of patients. “The well-being we offer generates a vital feeling in the people who receive it, which translates into an improvement in their quality of life,” concluded the director of Bach Care Abama.
