The Cabildo has developed for two days, Monday and Tuesday, a conference for environmental and cultural conservation under the concept of custody of the territory. This seeks to facilitate voluntary initiatives for the care of nature, landscape and heritage both on private and public lands.
The insular Area for Sustainable Development and the Fight against Climate Change has held the III Conference on Land Stewardship in Tenerife, in collaboration with the Candelaria City Council. An appointment that comes with the goal of continuing to delve into the design of an island strategy aimed at promoting the conservation of natural, environmental, cultural and landscape resources with this figure.
The free sessions have taken place at the Candelaria Technological Center (CTcan) with a hybrid approach. An initial online part directed specifically to technical staff and legal representatives of local administrations of the Island.
The program was completed with two face-to-face work sessions. The first made up of presentations and round tables with a very practical approach, addressing key issues in the island Custody today and the work carried out by certain groups of great importance. The second session has focused on the field visit to various experiences underway on the southern slope of Tenerife.
The Custody of the Territory seeks to facilitate voluntary initiatives for the conservation of nature, landscape and cultural heritage. A new approach to governance.
