SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Dec. 1 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The collection of the solidarity menu ‘Everyone with the island of La Palma’ carried out by a dozen Vocational Training centers in support of people affected by the volcano reached 11,118.10 euros, an amount that will go to the Cabildo de La Palma , The Canary Islands Red Cross and the municipalities of El Paso and Los Llanos de Aridane.
This initiative was organized by the General Directorate of Professional Training and Adult Education of the Ministry of Education, Universities, Culture and Sports of the Government of the Canary Islands, through the centers of Gran Canaria, Lanzarote and Fuerteventura that have the specialty of Hospitality and Tourism in its three training levels (Basic Professional Training in Cooking and Restoration, Training Cycles of Medium Degree in Cooking and Services in Restoration, as well as Higher Cycles of Kitchen Management and Catering Services Management).
Specifically, in the offer of these solidarity lunches participated the Comprehensive Vocational Training Centers (CIFP) San Cristóbal, Villa de Agüimes and Zonzamas, as well as the Secondary Education Institutes (IES) Felo Monzón Grau-Bassas, Bañaderos, Santa María de Guide, Maspalomas Lighthouse, Arguineguín, Jandía and Puerto del Rosario.
The Coordination of the Professional Family of Hospitality and Tourism of the province of Las Palmas, as well as the General Directorate of Professional Training and Adult Education thank the educational community that collaborated in the conference for their participation, as well as the contributions of those who attended the appointment, an experience that also served to strengthen the training of students in these pedagogical canteens.
