Tenerife will be well represented in the final phase of ‘The voice’. The program of Antenna 3 last night chose his semifinalists and among them the two Tenerife applicants who still remained in the list have been placed: Diana Larios and Besay Pérez.
The two young men, who share their talents in lyrical poetry, will take the stage again next week with their eyes fixed on the end of the contest. Only then can they become ‘The Voice’.
The reward for the work shown on this talent show came to both of them differently in the mechanics of the show. Diana Larios was one of the four members of the team of Luis Fonsi who reached this stage of the contest and was the first to hear his name as a semifinalist. They were the votes of the public those who hoisted her up until next week after her exceptional performance of ‘Nessun Dorma’.
Meanwhile, the appointment of Besay Pérez as semifinalist had a little more tension. The Tenerife-born saw how the public chose Ezequiel Montoya from among the four participants of the team of Malu and it was finally the singer who opted to keep the impressive voice of Besay, who finished conquering her after her interpretation last night of the lyrical version of ‘María’ from the musical Wide Side Story.
The two young people will face six other participants in the following program: Carlos Ángel Valdés, Marina Jiménez, Inés Manzano, Karina Pasian and Julio Benavente, in addition to the aforementioned Ezequiel Montoya.
‘La Voz’ will face its semifinal next week, where half of the contestants will leave the program, leaving only one member of each team. The four that remain in the program will compete in the grand final for the title of best voice in Spain.
The Canarian participants share much more than their place of origin and their love of poetry. Both are close to 30 years old and their voices are recognized on the Island especially thanks to the Carnival. Thus, while Besay Pérez has achieved success in the chicharrera party thanks to her participation in the rondalla El Cabo Artistic Union and the murga Zeta Zetas; Diana Larios has made a place for herself in the ranks of the rondalla Mamel’s Society
